Our illustrious members
Since its inception in 1865, the Rideau Club has had a much-acclaimed membership. Imagine rubbing shoulders with the most recognized and vibrant decision-makers in government and business. Prime ministers (including the first Club President, Sir John A. Macdonald), the Governor-General of Canada, business moguls, royalty, as well as many other notable men and women (such as Jean Pigott, our first female member), have been known to grace the halls of the Club. Not surprisingly, Rideau Club members are regularly recognized for their meaningful contributions to the national life of Canada.
